Comet Center
  • 2,307 people have been served at the Comet Center since Aug 17.

Student Union
  • The food court (former dining hall) is now open, including Panda Express, Moe’s Southwest, 2mato and an expanded Chick-fil-A. Ben and Jerry’s is open in the former Chick-fil-A location.
  • Regular building hours are now 7 a.m.-2 a.m., with service in the food court closing at 8 p.m.
  • The TV lounge on the lower level has been remodeled, with two TV monitors exclusively for gaming.

International Center
  • 4.6 percent increase in total international enrollment for fall 2015 (5,693 students).
  • 5.3 percent decrease in new international enrollment.
  • 1,897 attended international student orientation in August.

  • The Multicultural Center and the Black Student Alliance will be assisting the Office of Admission and Enrollment in a call campaign to increase the yield of African American students who have been admitted to the University.
Recreational Sports
  • Recreational Sports members (Activity Center and Recreation Center West) can purchase a group exercise pass for $50, which provides access to all group fitness classes for the fall 2015 semester.
  • Recreational Sports is now renting camping equipment, including tents, pads, sleeping bags and various other items. Visit Recreation Center West for details.
  • Frankie Branham, coordinator for fitness, and Greg Melton, coordinator for memberships and student development, moved into their new roles this summer.

Wellness Center
  • Holly Ship is the student leader for the Comet Voice bystander intervention initiative.
  • All incoming new students are required to take Haven, a sexual assault prevention course. To date, 4,686 students have registered and started the course and 3,213 have completed the course.
  • All incoming new students who are under the age of 21 are required to take AlcoholEdu, an alcohol education course. To date, 2,222 students have registered for and started the course and 1,739 have completed the course.
