Radio UTD students will attend the College Music Journal convention in New York Oct. 13-18. The station is a finalist for Best Student-run, Internet-only College Radio Station.

Dallas Symphony Orchestra tickets for Bruckner No. 5 are $9. Shows are Thursday and Friday, Oct. 15-16.

Residential Life

In September, peer advisors hosted 61 community social programs with more than 1,000 total residents in attendance.
Oct. 30: Trunk or Treat, 6-8 p.m., Lot T/RHNW. If your department is interested in hosting a trunk, contact Kaytie Farrell.
Nov. 20: PA applications due.
Still conducting searches for a housing placement coordinator and an assistant director of Residential Life (University Village).

International Center

Education Abroad

University-sponsored education abroad opportunities are available. Students can review, apply and submit travel documents online via the Comets Abroad Portal.

Intercultural Programs

International student orientation dates for spring 2016 are Nov. 10, Dec. 16 and Jan. 6.

Recreational Sports

Through Oct. 12: Pro-rated Recreational Sports memberships for the fall semester are $45 and Group Fitness passes are $25.
Oct. 14: Flag football championships, 9 p.m., UTD Soccer Complex/Field 3.
Oct. 17-18: Ultimate club Frisbee tournament, with 25 clubs from Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Arkansas. UTD Soccer Complex.

Veteran Services Center

974 students visited the VSC in September, with 223 unique student sign-ins: 152 veterans, 25 current military (active, guard, reserve), 11 military dependents and 35 non-military/other.
Staff/faculty veterans who have a uniform or item to display for the Nov. 11 Veterans Day campus event should contact the center.
