Athletics
  • April 8-9: Baseball vs. Ozarks. The Comets host Ozarks for a three-game ASC series. Teams will play a 2 p.m. single game Friday before a 12 p.m. doubleheader Saturday at the baseball field. Saturday is Military Appreciation Day for the Comets, and all veterans, military service members and their families will receive free admission to the games.
  • April 8: Tennis vs. McMurry, 2 p.m.
  • April 9: Tennis vs. Hardin-Simmons, 10 a.m.
  • April 15-16: Softball vs. Ozarks. Comets host Howard Payne for a three-game ASC series. Teams will play a 6 p.m. single game Friday before a 12 p.m. doubleheader Saturday at the softball field. Comet seniors will be recognized during Saturday's doubleheader.
  • April 24: All-Sports Banquet, 1 p.m., Hyatt Regency in Richardson. For information, contact Valerie Hoops at extension 4497.
  • May 20: Comet Club Golf Classic, 9 a.m., Firewheel Golf Park. We are looking for foursomes for the department's annual fundraising golf tournament. For information, contact Rob Bogardus at extension 6166.

  • April 18-22: Earth Week events include Recycle Rama, Urban Tree Farm Cleanup, Earth Fair, E-Waste Roundup, Operation Upcycle: Seed Packets and Butterfly Flutterby. Some events require preregistration.

  • April 26: BBQ and career roundtable, 11:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Student veterans and their spouses are invited to attend an end of semester lunch sponsored by State Farm, followed by an employer networking event. Registration is required.
