Counseling Center

  • Clinical services/sessions for the week of April 23: Consultation and counseling (76), initial and follow-up evaluation (22), crisis interventions (18), psychiatric evaluations and treatment (29), group and couple counseling (52), WPATH (1), testing (3), outreach (5).
  • Center for Students in Recovery services for the week of April 29: Recovery assessment (1), recovery planning (2), other contacts (54). Group meetings: Sexual assault survivor support (1), AA/NA (1), yoga (1), Refuge Recovery (1), outreach (3).
 

University Recreation

  • Due to commencement, the Activity Center will have reduced hours on the following days: May 9, 6 p.m.-1 a.m., May 10, 6 p.m.-1.a.m. and May 11, 4-10 p.m. Rec Center West will have normal operating hours.
  • May 12-13: Activity Center and VCB closed due to a scheduled power outage.
  • May 14-June 3: Activity Center fitness area closed due to new floor installation. Rec Center West will hold extended hours of operation during this project.
  • Now-May 22: Summer memberships and locker renewals. Available summer lockers go on sale May 25.

  • May 12-13: The Student Union, Student Services Building and Student Services Addition will be closed due to a scheduled power outage.

  • May 7: Handshake, the new career services platform replacing CometCareers, launches.

  • May 7: Veteran Cord Ceremony, 7-8:30 p.m., SU Dining Hall.
  • You're invited to assist the MVC in planting flags along the mall for Memorial Day. Sign up for May 25 or 29. Meet at the MVC at 10 a.m.
 

Finance and Administrative Services

Comet Card Office

  • Seasonal discount tickets are now available for Scarborough Renaissance Festival (through May 28), $22 adult and $12 child. Hurricane Harbor tickets also are available.
 

University Housing

Housing Operations

  • Beginning June 1, all housing maintenance and custodial staff will be managed directly by Housing Operations. Several job openings will be posted in the coming weeks, including maintenance, custodial and operations positions.
 

Residential Life

  • Fall 2018 move in is Aug.14-17. Residential Life is collecting marketing items to include in freshman move-in bags. If your area has anything to share (pamphlets, flyers, swag), please submit by July 31. Contact Kaytie Farrell for details or questions.
  • Ivy Le, Living Learning Community peer advisor, was recognized as Student Employee of the Year by the Career Center.
