• Chad Thomas was named chair of the College Media Association's Digital Media/Multimedia Committee and will serve on the CMA Advisory Council in 2018-19.

Vice President for Student Affairs

• Please join me in welcoming Dr. Diego Garcia as the new senior director for the International Center. Dr. Garcia joins UTD from the University of Colorado Denver. He has more than 20 years of experience working in various capacities with international students.
• Dr. Varghese Jacob, Lars Magnus Ericsson Chair, vice dean of the Naveen Jindal School of Management and a member of the Graduate Council, will serve as interim dean of Graduate Studies effective Aug. 1.
