Vice President for Student Affairs

  • April 5: HR deadline for annual performance appraisals. Speak with your individual supervisor to determine the date they are requesting appraisals be completed.
  • As shared last week, the International Center is now reporting to the Office of Academic Affairs and Provost. Intercultural Programs and international student orientation will continue to be administered through Student Affairs.
  • Save the dates for upcoming Student Affairs all staff meetings: March 14 and May 23, both 2-3:30 p.m. in the Galaxy Rooms.
 

Professional Development

  • Feb. 6: Onboarding for all new-to-Student Affairs employees, 9 a.m., FSL suite. RSVP to Danny Hernandez.
  • Feb. 28: Transgender nonconforming training, led by the Student Counseling Center and the Gender Center, 2 p.m., SSA 12.471. This refresher will focus on building the knowledge, awareness and skills needed for working with lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender/gender non-conforming (LGBT/TGNC) students, and provide time for consultation regarding the specific needs of your department.

  • Student Government election filing is open now through March 13. Students can file by: filing an application, and completing a student authorization form and an infraction agreement form. Any student may run for president or vice president, regardless if they have served on Student Government.
