- Art Martinez has been named chief of staff to UT System Chancellor James B. Milliken. Martinez previously served as senior executive director of board services in the UT System Office of the Board of Regents. As chief of staff, he will work with key university partners including administrative and government officials, regents, UT institution presidents' offices, system executive officers and other constituencies in carrying out the university system's agenda.

- Interested in applying for the Student Affairs Travel Grant but aren't sure if it's right for you? Dan Goodwin, a recent recipient of the grant, will share his insight on Feb. 25 at 2 p.m. in SSA 12.471. A member of the 2019 Aspiring Vice President of Student Affairs Institute, he will discuss issues many of us face in Student Affairs, trends to be aware of, and ways to collectively develop one another as colleagues.
- Feb. 28: Transgender nonconforming training, 2 p.m., SSA 12.471. This refresher will focus on building the knowledge, awareness and skills needed for working with lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender/gender nonconforming students and provide time for consultation regarding the specific needs of your department.
