  • Congratulations to Dr. Chad Thomas, director of Student Media, who successfully defended his doctoral dissertation in public and nonprofit management.
  • Melanie Chung Sherman of the Student Counseling Center was elected to serve as the Region 3 representative for the National Association of Social Workers Texas State Board of Directors.

Athletics

  • Welcome to Madison Hall, new women's soccer assistant coach and Olivia Cicci, new women's basketball assistant coach. Hall played collegiately at Arkansas and Stephen F. Austin and professionally for the Lady Rafters of the WPSL before coaching at Angelina College. Cicci played and served as a graduate assistant at Austin College before coaching last year at Texas A&M-Commerce.
  • Fall athletic schedules are available online for cross country, men's soccer, women's soccer and volleyball.

  • Britt Montgomery joined UT Dallas as an LLC coordinator. She recently completed her master's degree in counseling and student development at Kansas State University.
  • Casie Winland is now assistant director of Resident Education.
  • Laura Glashow is the Residential Life coordinator, South.
  • Nikki Elkins joined as assistant Residential Life coordinator, Canyon Creek Heights North. She previously worked at UT Dallas as an ACUHO-I intern with RCCS.
  • Angelica Monreal recently began her term as associate director of NRHH for the Regional Board of Directors for SWACURH. She will be working closely with student leaders at other institutions in the region.
