Student Union

• Welcome to Ashley Shoemake, Student Union coordinator.
• Fall semester operating hours for the SU, SSB and SSA are 7 a.m.-midnight Monday-Friday, and 9 a.m.-11 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
• Firehouse Subs, Smoothie King and Halal Shack, located in the Comet Cafe, are now open. Hours of operation for all three are 7:30 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday-Thursday, and 7:30 a.m.-3 p.m. on Friday.
• Interested in advertising your upcoming programs in the SU or SSA? We have selected poster and A-frame locations inside the buildings. First come, first served. Contact Andy Helgeson for information.

Student Volunteerism

• September: OSV gift wrap drive. Drop off locations vary.
• Sept. 4: OSV info booth, 12-1 p.m., SU upper level.
• Sept. 6: Community Garden orientation, 9-10 a.m., UTD Community Garden, at the southwest corner of the phase I apartment complex.

Student Transition Initiatives

• Aug. 27: Veteran resource fair and welcome lunch for military-affiliated students, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., SSA fourth floor.
